A hard-wearing natural stone, historical Raj Indian sandstone paving is, fittingly, mined in the Rajasthan area, in the North West of India.  As with all Stone Traders’ sandstone, it is ethically sourced by hand, ensuring the highest quality for our customers.

Historical Raj paving is machine-cut, meaning the top, bottom and all four sides have been cut to size by machine (also known as ‘six sided machined cut’).

The effect of historical Raj sandstone is as impressive as its name suggests.  Featuring cream and beige tones with veins of charcoal-grey, historical Raj sandstone can be particularly effective in more rural surroundings. As such, it has become famous in farmhouse gardens.

Why not explore our full range of sandstone paving and find the perfect match for your style and taste?

Customers are not required to purchase whole packs, but can instead choose the precise quantity of paving slabs they require in metres2.
